Going into my second year of TIFF celebrity stalking, I learned a thing or two of how to successfully see celebrities on the red carpet. Check out my former post with some helpful tips; prepare to be starstruck!

The Toronto International Film Festival kickstarted with the highly anticipated sci-fi action film whereby Joseph Gordon Levitt’s character is commissioned to kill his future self, played by Bruce Willis.

Director Rian Johnson

Piper Perabo

For those of you who don’t know, Piper Perabo is the main actress in Coyote Ugly. I’m not sure what role she plays in Looper, but she was great and very cute on the red carpet.

John Krasinski

Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski

It was a very nice surprise to have seen new hubby John Krasinski join Emily Blunt on the red carpet. The couple were absolutely smitten with one another and spent a lot of time signing autographs for their beloved fans. Emily has such perfect flawless skin in case you can’t tell from the photo!

Joseph Gordon Levitt was #1 on my radar this year at TIFF. I was actually quite disappointed how quickly he rushed through the fans and straight into the media step and repeat tent. You’d think he’s such a down to earth kinda guy who would take the time to satisfy his fans, but it seemed like he didn’t enjoy the spotlight much. Boo.

Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis took even less time to meet and greet on the red carpet. Ah well, he’s too old for this sh*t, I suppose.

Rust & Bone expresses an unconventional love story between an unemployed young man (Matthias Schoenaerts) who falls in love with a killer whale trainer (Marion Cotillard). Surprisingly there was no wait time to see the stars of this film. I guess a good thing to note that foreign films draw smaller TIFF stalkers haha.

Matthias Schoenaerts

Marion Cotillard

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MARION! She’s my new favourite French actress (formerly Audrey Tautou) after I saw Jeux D’Enfants (a.k.a. “Love me if you Dare”). Marion was such a friendly and lovely presence at TIFF. You can tell she has such a big heart. She’s absolutely beautiful and has flawless skin too haha.

And that’s it for DAY 1! Stay tuned for more.
